Against Unpriced Worlds
Observer-equivalence and ontological economy in Everettian branching.
Observer-equivalence and ontological economy in Everettian branching.
Everettian realism needs a principled criterion for counting worlds, branches, histories, or observer-relevant realities. Physical or branch-level multiplicity should not automatically become observer-world multiplicity unless it induces observer-relevant record differentiation.
This item belongs to the Quantum and Observer-Worlds section of the RBO website. It should be read according to its status label: Working paper.
RBO is a BCT-derived philosophical framework for individuation. This item contributes to the project’s account of finite systems, stable traces/records, individuation, continuity, correction, and definite outcomes, while BCT remains the physics-facing core where quantum measurement is concerned.
