The Record-Based Turn
Why facts, objects, selves, worlds, and outcomes should not be treated as primitively given.
Why facts, objects, selves, worlds, and outcomes should not be treated as primitively given.
Record-Based Ontology begins from the refusal to treat facts, objects, selves, worlds, and outcomes as already individuated merely because some physical difference exists. A difference becomes definite for a finite system when it enters a stable structure of traces, records, access, comparison, correction, or update.

RBO is a BCT-derived philosophical framework for individuation. This item contributes to the project’s account of finite systems, stable traces/records, individuation, continuity, correction, and definite outcomes, while BCT remains the physics-facing core where quantum measurement is concerned.
